All-In-One Grow Bag
Our all in one grow bag provides a convenient way to start a mushroom cultivation project without preparing grain and substrate separately. Boise Mushroom Company prepares each bag with sterilized grain and CVG substrate, giving growers both materials in one ready-to-use package.
This bag works well for new growers who want a simpler setup. In addition, experienced cultivators can use it when they want to save preparation time. Everything stays contained inside a filter-patch grow bag during the colonization process.
Grain and CVG in One Bag
Each bag contains 2 pounds of prepared grain along with approximately 2 pounds of CVG substrate. CVG is a commonly used mushroom-growing substrate made from coco coir, vermiculite, and gypsum.
The grain provides the starting material for colonization. Meanwhile, the CVG provides additional growing substrate for the next stage of cultivation. Because both components come in the same bag, you do not need to prepare separate grain and substrate bags.
We prepare the contents before packaging. Therefore, the bag arrives ready for inoculation with your compatible mushroom culture.
Simple Mushroom Cultivation
Start by inoculating the grain portion of the bag using your preferred compatible culture. Allow the grain to colonize under conditions appropriate for the mushroom species you are growing.
After the grain has colonized, mix the contents of the bag thoroughly. This distributes the colonized grain throughout the CVG substrate. Then allow the mixed bag to continue colonizing before moving to the appropriate fruiting conditions for your mushroom species.
The filter patch allows gas exchange while the bag remains closed during colonization.
